This started out one afternoon when one of my friends, Ianne, was invited to go to Bacolod. We excitedly said yes and what do you know, we booked our flight on the cheapest airline and schedule we can afford and when we are available. It was sooo exciting, most especially for me as this would be my first time to board a plane and be somewhere else other than Lipa, Batangas. It was great to be at those places and extra nice that you are discovering it together with your friends, a little expensive, had shelved out few hundred bucks but the over all experience was amazing. From riding the plane, to eating, to meeting a lot of people and discovering new words like sa lugar lang - or garlang - their word for para or sa tabi lang po. Love all of that.
Here's my account of where we went and what we did:
Our plane from Manila to Bacolod was one hour delayed - it was Air Phil Express, (one of my agent said ewww AirPhil?). It was a rather short plane ( as compared to other major planes) and a little packed (I thought referencing it from my size. I thought it would be a bumpy ride, it was my first time so a lot of feelings and images and rummaging through my scared mind. there's this idea of us being hijacked, or the plane will experience engine trouble all sorts of freaky stuff but I hold on. The passengers infront were praying the rosary so I did my own and prayed for a safe trip. And it was smooth, very smooth actually that it felt flying (again referencing from roller coaster and acnhor's away) but not. We were sooo excited, we ate pa nga on our way to Bacolod and saw a lot up there, ala Google Earth. It's a wonder ful world definitely. From the take off till landing, it was really really fun for a first timer like me, the gum really helped.
I was able to take pics from my window and really just in awe of how beautiful the view from up there. Forgot to take shot of Bacolod as we were descending - it was lush green that you never thought very near to their airport.
(To be continued)
